Flavour

Based out of Winnipeg, New City Food Company began as an idea on a trip to Vietnam, then came to fruition in 2024. Each one of their seasonings tells a story of their travels, the places that have left a lasting impression on their lives and hearts - and of course the amazing food they've had along the way.

Despite being a very new product in our area, Prairie Oils staff have tried them and LOVED them. The quality is instantly recognizable as is their passion for intense flavour that is at once delicious and versatile. They have done a great job on their three inaugural spices and we can't wait to see what else they add coming soon.

Comes in:

Thai Lime Coconut Curry Seasoning - Thai cuisine boasts some of the most popular and delicious dishes in the world. This seasoning is a celebration of that, showcasing legendary Thai flavours that allow for creativity. Marinate meat, season veggies, or build a bold curry sauce that will keep you coming back for more. The possibilities are endless.

Char Siu BBQ Seasoning - Traditionally a sauce or a marinade, Char Siu originates from Cantonese cuisine, though it can be found in a variety of adaptations across Southeast Asia. This seasoning is just our adaptation - an umami bomb that will make a dish explode with flavour! Use as a true BBQ rub to create delicious meats for asian-style wraps and sandwiches, or use in stir-fry, add to noodle dishes, fried rice and more.

Cà Phê Vietnamese Coffee Seasoning - Vietnamese coffee culture is unlike anywhere else in the world. This seasoning is an ode to the ca phe’s that line the streets of Vietnam. Packed with intensity from the Vietnamese Robusta bean, this seasoning delivers a caffeinated punch that will elevate any food. Add this seasoning to marinades (think brisket, steak, or ribs!) and sauces like BBQ sauce, homemade whiskey or peppercorn sauce, and even chilis, stews and mole.
