About the Owner
Owner Bev Penner and her husband were on a culinary tour in Portland, OR, where they discovered an oil and vinegar tasting room. They fell in love with the freshness of the Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the wonderful flavours of the aged Balsamic Condimento as well as the tasting experience. Finding there was nothing like this in Manitoba, they decided to open an Oil and Vinegar Tasting Room in Manitoba in November of 2012.
Prior to being a gourmet foods store owner, Bev always had a passion for cooking, outstanding ingredients and flavour development. Her previous experience working with a quality food and spices supplier, combined with her skills in accounting, gave her the perfect entrepreneurial recipe for leading Manitoba’s First Oil and Vinegar Tasting Room.
