It is a SAVOURY marinade, but the maple syrup does just the trick to balance the richness from the Garlic Olive Oil and the flavourful punch of the grilling spices. There's a hint of heat on this one and, oh my word, it is heavenly with steak! Take it vegetarian by soaking a few portobello mushrooms or thickly sliced egg plants with this one... actually, this would be amazing brushed over halved and scored sweet potatoes, too...
