Iced Tea with Strawberry-Pineapple Shrub

Ingredients for Strawberry-Pineapple Shrub:
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. fresh strawberries, chopped
1 c. pineapple, chopped
1 Tbsp. Strawberry Balsamic
1 Tbsp. Pineapple White Balsamic

Ingredients for Iced Tea:
3 green tea bags
3 qts. hot water
1 qt. ice cubes
fresh strawberries and pineapple
for garnish

Place strawberry-pineapple shrub ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring the mixture to a low simmer, over med-high heat, stirring frequently until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.

Steep tea bags in hot water and cool to room temperature. Once cooled to room temperature, add ice. Strain shrub into the tea (Do not have to strain if preferred) and stir to combine. Fill serving glasses with ice and pour in the iced tea. Garnish with fresh strawberries and pineapple before serving.

makes 1 gallon of tea
