Prairie Oils & Vinegars is excited to announce we have recently become a sponsor for Lucas Smith, a Winnipeg-raised biathlete for Team Canada. Lucas reached out to us for support after discovering our oils and vinegars, which he loves!
"For years, I trained right here in Manitoba, where I've always strived to improve and become faster. Fortunately, my hard work paid off and last spring I was selected to join the Whistler Nordic Development Centre to take my biathlon career to the highest level. I had a fantastic season this year with racing internationally for Team Canada and just earned a spot on the Senior National Development Team," says Smith.
Bev Penner, Owner at Prairie Oils & Vinegars, was happy to give Smith some ideas for oil and vinegar uses, though Smith says he already is familiar with the product. He says really likes the Garlic Olive Oil and is going to use the Balsamic Vinegar as a natural water "enhancer".
"As an athlete, I really want to show those around me how important it is to have great quality food in my life to support my training and racing," says Smith.
